New Years Eve!

It is New Years Eve! Every year I have this weird tradition where I notice the "lasts" of 2011. For example, I had my last shower and my last nap of 2011 earlier. I do the same thing on January 1st, only I notice the "firsts" of 2012. It's quite fun!
These are my goals for 2012:
1.Keep my straight A grade
2.Finish my book
3. Bike my neighborhood each month
4.Spend more time with god, such as reading the scripture
Hopefully I complete all those things before 2013, or before the end of the world (just kidding). I am praying that 2012 will be an exciting and fun year!

These are some of my pictures from my camera:

Last Few Days

Monday- Monday was a very long day. We had to go out and exchange Christmas gifts. Only problem was, we went on the day where EVERYONE was out exchanging Christmas gifts. So the entire day was waiting and trying on Clothes, two things I do NOT enjoy. But I survived.
Tuesday- I had a great day. I got to sleep in for a while. When I did get up, I went to the computer and Skyped Chloe. It was great being with her. After we talked, I spent most of the rest of the day playing my new DSi game and being on the computer.
Wednesday- I slept in Wednesday too, but not a long. When I woke up, I went to the Living Room and I watched some Scrubs. I didd get to talk to Chloe again, but not as long. She had a friend coming over. At sunset I went outside and took some nature pictures.
Thursay- Today was a very relaxed day. It was cold, so I spentt a couple hours curled up on the couch with a blanket and the Kindle reading Catching Fire. Such a good book. I started playing Sims again, and have been really enjoying it. But I decided to stop and create a blog before I got too far behind.
I am having a great winter break. I am so dissapointed that it will end very soon. But I am glad my mom is off until Monday. We can spend the last few days together.

My Christmas

Mom wants me to blog about my Christmas, so here goes.
It began on Christmas Eve, with the first service, I had a very nice dress on that mad me look really grown up. Pastor Aaron preached that night. I thought he did really well. After the service, we went home and got ready to have a mini party with crackers and cheese. Every Christmas Eve, each child in the Duffer family gets to open one present. Keli got a necklace from Mom, Tim got a Swiss Army Knife from Mom, Mark got clothes from Mom, and I got a new art set from our Secret Santa. The art set is extremely expensive, with REAL oil paints and high quality paint brushes. We messed with our new presents until 11, when we had to go to the 2ND service. I had to change out my shoes for high heels for that service. I swear, I was that close from tripping and twisting my ankle. Thank god I did not. The service was very serious, but funny when the Ushers forgot to give us our cup. We got it eventually, of course. When we got home, I was too tired to stay up, and slipped into comfortable pajamas and went to bed.
Morning came, and I got ready to go to church. Church was quick and uneventful, except for the end, when I had to say goodbye to Pastor Gene. I was really sad, because that would be the last time I saw him for a while. I would truly miss him. He is amazing. I would also miss little Noel. It is a blessing being able to see her grow up. It feels like just yesterday she was a little baby that just came from China.
After Church, mom put in the Ham, and we proceeded to open up presents. I got a lot of them, so here are the highlights:
Kodak Camera
Pandora Bracelet
Imagine Teacher (DSi)
Just Dance 3 (Kinect)
Joseph's 12 year old doll
LOTS of Clothes
boots!
Chain for my OM necklace
I got lots more, but those were definitely the best. We had Christmas lunch then went off with our new presents.
It has been a wonderful Christmas with my family. I am truly thankful.

Catch Up

So, I have not blogged for like a month. I know I was supposed to finish my story about the weekend, but pretty much, all we did was saw the race then went home. The highlights of this past month has been the breaking of my glasses, the News of the Cornetts, the Wests, and T.J leaving, and winter break. It has been a slow month.

The last Week

Sorry I have not blogged in a while. It has been a busy week.
Friday- Today I just planned to relax the entire day, but then around three guess who picked me up? Chloe Powers. Ends up, for my birthday, they were going to take me to the Outer Banks! I was so excited. It was going to be so much fun! The car ride there was quick, probably because Chloe and I played the entire way. We were staying in this giant beach house with some friends (they were all here for the OBX marathon). It was so pretty! There was a elevator, but it was really creepy because the light did not work. We stayed up late, played with the IPad, got in the hot tub, and had a great time. It was around one when we finally got to sleep.
Saturday- We woke up early today to go to a big convention to get some stuff for the marathon. It was really interesting there. They were selling a lot of stuff. After the convention, we went to Moe's to eat. It was delicious! We also stopped by Kitty Hawks Kite, which is a REALLY cool store. Then we headed home and hung out until a very delicious dinner of pasta and a quick hot tub visit. We also went to Sweet Frog, which is amazing, and (in my opinion) quite cheap! We got to sleep early, because the marathon was tomorrow morning.
Well, I have to get to bed, so I will continue this post tomorrow!

Last Few Days

Sorry I have not blogged in a while. Here is an update:
Monday- Monday was not as good as I imagined. A bunch of things throughout the school day went wrong, like me almost missing the bus, forgetting my book at home, and learning I had 2 whole assignments missing. After school was a bit better, because Austin was over, and I had tons of fun.
Tuesday- What a relief that there was no school! I was so tired, and it felt good to sleep in. Plus, it gave me time to finish my Son of Neptune book, which I did. It was also Mark's Birthday, so we got to do fun things like have an Ice Cream Cake. There was some cleaning involved, but it was quick. I did a lot of studying for my DBA, and fell asleep with my study stuff all over my bed.
Wednesday- Today was long. I had the DBA first thing in the morning in History. It was kinda hard, but not too bad. I think I got a decent score. In P.E, we had our second quarter Pacer. I did worse than I did last time, because, well, I didn't pace myself. In Adv. English, we did some practice on "Show, not Tell", a type of writing where you make the reader feel like they were there. I love this type of writing, and I am pretty good at it. In math, we did prep for the DBA tomorrow. I feel good about it, except for some subjects. Oh well. I WILL get a good grade. After school, I skyped Chloe. It was good to talk to her.
I will post a review on "The Son of Neptune" tomorrow.

Sunday

What a good Sunday.
When I woke up, it was too late to go to church, sadly. Hopefully I will be up at a good time to go next week. I spent most of the day reading my Son of Neptune book. It is so good. I will post a review when I am done with it. I also got all my homework done. I was supposed to do it yesterday, but I decided to give myself a break since it was my birthday. So I had to do it today. It wasn't too hard, just a paper and some copying questions. Now I am all ready for School.
Man, Daylight Savings is awesome. It feels like it is time to go to bed, but then I look at a clock and realize I still have an hour! Also, I get to technically sleep in in the Morning. The only way it will affect me badly is School, because it will feel like an hour longer. At least we have Tuesday off.
I hope tomorrow is good!

Life of a Smart 12 year old!

So, to celebrate my birthday, I decided to change my blog name to Life of a smart 12 Year Old, so that it would be proper! But I have to keep the URL the same, so if you are trying to get to the website, it is still 11, not 12.
It has been a great Birthday. I got a lot of sleep last night, which was a great blessing. In the morning, Mom and I decided to go to IHOP. It sure was good! After IHOP, we had to go to Walmart so that I can get a billboard for my Science Project. We also picked up more iron on stuff for my bag (rhinestone letters and Breast Cancer Awareness iron on) and a fuzzy pillow for me, something I really wanted. Then we went to Barnes & Nobles, where I got 2 amazing books, The Son Of Neptune and Book 2 of 39 Clues. We headed home after back, my bag filled with great books.
There was something like a Yard Sale over at Zion, so I went to check it out. They had this beautiful ornament for only one dollar. For my birthday, Tim got it for me. Now I can hang it on my small tree!
Later that night, we went out and got McDonalds and a Pull Apart Cake ( cupcakes connected by icing) with candles that turn the flame blue. We had a mini- celebration, and now we are watching X- Men First Class. So far it is a great movie.
In my opinion, I think being 12 is so much better than 11. Plus, I had an amazing birthday.

Tomorrow is the day!

I thought I would blog one last time as a 11 year old about my day. I mean, why not?
So today was pretty good. We had this big review thing for History (since we have our DBA Wednesday) and I did pretty good. I have a lot of studying to do over the weekend, though. We had this fitness relay in P.E, where you get in groups and see who can finish the selected fitness thing. Lots of people cheated. In Adv. English, I finally got my graphic organizer printed. My teacher absolutely LOVED it! I spent the rest of the block reading some magazines. In Math, we took a very important quiz, which I got a %100 on!!!!
The real fun happened after school, when we had our pre-birthday celebration. Mom gave me my presents, which included chew toys for my hamster and a really cool bag that you can iron on things. It is big enough to hold my books, and much easier than my backpack. I can iron on more stuff, and put buttons on it. It is so cute!!! Then, we ordered pizza and watched Cars 2. It was really funny. I enjoyed it. After the movie, I had to finish up my Science Fair Experiment, which was the egg in vinegar thing. I would upload pictures of how it turned out, but Blgger is being stupid. Let's just say that it was squishy and cool.
Well, tomorrow is the day I turn 12. I am so excited!!!!!

Thursday

What a great day!
So, it started out in Science, which we had a Metric System Test. It was really easy, and I hope I got a good grade on it. In Wheel, we got to do Advertisements. I did a energy drink, targeting teens. I thought it looked pretty good. I love Teen Living, and it is a shame that our last class is Monday. Then I have Keyboarding, I think. I lost my class sheet, so I have no clue. Yikes. In Advanced English we had to organize a paper's Main Idea and Details on Inspiration Software. The software is really cool and helpful. I enjoyed the assignment. I will be printing tomorrow. In Math, we did independent work, checking out quizzes. Guess what? Remember that quiz that every one bombed? I only missed one question! How great is that?
After school, I checked on my experiment, and got on the computer. Not much happened. I just Stumbled a lot.
Only 2 days until my birthday! I am so ready!!!

Wednesday

Today was pretty good.
The first class I had was History, which was fun. We got to watch Tuesday Newsday, a show from YMS that they air every Tuesday. They had to be a day late though, but it was fine. It was a short show today, though. Then we began on our project, where we have to make a poster trying to convinge people from England to go to our region. I WANTED the Southern Colonies, but instead I got the Mid- Atlantic. Admittedly, it is much easier to find good stuff about that region than about the Southern region. In P.E , we had to do this whole anti-bullying thing. It was pretty boring. We had to take a Quarterly test in Advanced English. It was real easy for me, and I was the first one to finish, with a 97% A! I think that is really good. In math we learned how to find the "value of X" when it is being multiplied. It was a short lesson, because we had to do a lot at the beginning of the day. Ends up we got bad grades on the quiz, so she had to reteach us addidion and subtraction. I was glad when the day was done, I was tired.
After school, I started my Science Fair project. It will be fully completed in about two days. We also gave Biscuit a long needed bath, and she is now doing her post-bath freakout. It sure is funny!

Only 4 more days untill my birthday!

Happy November!

So it is finally November, the greatest month of the year! The time where there is the crispness of Fall with barely any hot days. Plus, it holds my birthday, which is right around the corner! I want to get the most blog views in November. To do that, I need around 70 views. As long as I blog every day and at least 2 people look every day, I will make it. Anyways, here is my Monday and Tuesday:
Monday- Monday was a tiring day. I nearly fell asleep in two classes, a side effect of being sick. P.E wasn't bad, though, because it was Picture Day. So I got to sit on the bleachers and finish up assignments while hanging out with my 2nd Block Best Friend, Ruby. Math wasn't horrible either. We started Algebra, so she decided to make these cool stations for us so that we can practice "finding X". Nothing really happened at home, although Mom is still sick.
Tuesday- Tuesday was super fun. We learned about the Metric system for Volume, which totally beats the American system. In whell, we got to cook CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS! They were amazing. Plus, next Wheel class, we get to make advertisements! In Adv. English, we learned about Main Idea and Supportting Details in a paragraph. It wasn't the greatest lesson, but before it we got to discuss how the Earth's Population hit 7 billion! I find it absolutely amazing. In Math we had a quiz, which I am SURE I rocked. Hopefully, a %100 is in my future. At home, a package arrived from Tutu to me, with some awesome stuf: two very funny books and grade A drawing paper! I am so happy!
Only 5 more days untill my Birthday!

My Friday and Saturday

Friday- I was feeling a bit better after taking my pills, so I didn't go back to my room. Mom was at the hospital, but Keli was home. We just hung around the house, not really doing much. I helped Mom clean up before Mark came home. I started feeling bad around 4, so I headed to bed to rest.
Saturday- I felt considerably better, so I stayed outside my room all day. I actually ate some stuff, which is good. I cleaned the living room and finished any assignments I had missing, so I am all caught up. Nothing else really happened. Hopefully, if I feel better, I can go to church!

Pneumonia

Sorry I have not posted in a while. I am very sick.
It started Tuesday Morning, in which I could not stop coughing. Then, on Wednesday, I had a 101.5 fever. The next morning I felt too bad to go to School. It got worse much worse, and I had to go to the doctors. Mom had to come too, because she had a coughing problem. So I figured out I have Pneumonia, and mom has does too. I have to stay at home all of Friday, but I am not feeling as bad (since I took my pills) so I decided to blog a bit.
Sorry this blog is so short, but that has literally been the only thing that happened this week.

Monday

Oh Mondays. Mondays, Mondays, Mondays.....
First thing at School today was our Scientific Method test, which I rocked. I was one of the earlier people who finished, so my teacher gave me three stacks of papers and asked me to staple them as more tests for the other 3 billion or so ( the stacks were HUGE!) kids. I got into a nice rhythm, and completed a lot, before some of my friends int that class came to help. We finished with a couple minutes to spare. In Teen living, we got to make Monkey Bread, which was sort of like cinnamin pull-aparts. They were delicious. In Advanced English we started working on revising our Writing Assignments, choosing our favorite one and fixing it up to A standards. Mine is looking awesome. Also, I got some pretty good news: Mrs. Correll says that I have the highest grade average out of all the students she teaches! In FOA (math) we had an integers test. It was kinda hard. Later I looked on Edlline, and I had a B. It isn't that bad, considering I thought I got a C. But I do have to bring my grade up some more.
I did not do much at home, mostly just Homework and Computer. I decided, since I had a lot of time on my hands, I might as well blog tonight.

My Saturday and Sunday

Saturday- Today was a very low key day. We already cleaned up everything yesterday, so we did not have to clean today. We had to make a trip to Target for Tim, who needed a costume for drama. We also got loads of candy. Yum!
Sunday- I was the only one to go with mom today to church. It was nice. I thought our new Youth Pastor did an excellent job in his teaching. He is a great Youth Pastor, but I can never remember his name. Huh.
I got to sing again today. It was great being up there. I always enjoy Choir. The Sermon was great, too. Pastor Dennis preached about one of my favorite stories in the bible: Where the widow gave two coins to the Church, and Jesus is more pleased with her than the other rich people, "giving" by pouring large amounts of money into the treasury. He was very detailed about the story. I thought it was very insightful, and perfect for sacrifice Sunday. I did not give anything because I forgot, but I will give next week. I'm really excited for next week, because Pastor Gene is preaching.
After Church, me and mom went to Chili's and got Big Mouth Bites. We also talked about a lot of things. It was great getting mom to myself for a while.
It was a nice day, so we decided to go and walk White Oak Trail with Biscuit. We tried to keep her on the leash, but eventually we gave up and let her run free. We know she is a smart dog, and she won't wander out of our sight.
That was my wonderful, eventful weekend.

Update

I have not blogged in a while, but here is what's going on in my life so far:
The biggest news yet is that Mark and I got baby hamsters! They are adorable. Mine is named Moony (boy), while Mark's is named Padfoot (girl). But the problem is we need a bigger cage for them, so they can exercise. I am trying to save up, but I still don't have enough. I hope my birthday money I will receive will help.
School is going great. I am managing a high A in every class, except for Math. But I will bring that grade up soon. I have a test in Science AND Math, so I will be studying all weekend. Oh well. At least I will get good grades.
A couple days ago Chloe visited. It was great seeing her. I really missed her. We went to Yorktown Beach, then back to the place she was staying. I had loads of fun with her.
I have now joined the Seaford Baptist Choir! I decided to a couple weeks back. So far it has been great. I love singing on stage. But my favorite part is the practices. They are really fun. We did not have practice this week, but we will be singing still on Sunday. I can't wait!

I will try and keep on blogging every day, though it will be hard, what with school, church, and studying. I am sorry if I miss a couple days.

Descriptive Writing

This week's writing assignment was to do a piece of descriptive writing, since we were studying it that week. I think I did a pretty good job. You can read it here.

Sick

Well, whatever mom had, I have it too now. I have been sick all day. I might as well blog during this time.
Saturday- Uncle Rob and Aunt Debbie left today. It was really sad, because I enjoyed their visit. I hope to see them soon. It was raining all day, so I could not go outside.I mostly just read and played Sims, until that night, when I had to do my homework. I did it on the new desk Uncle Rob and I set up before he left. It is so neat!
Sunday- I missed church because I slept in. Tutu, Gramps and Mom went, though. When they got back, we went to Wawa. It was the first time in a while that I was able to get a milkshake. It tasted so good. We went back to the house and watched TV.
Monday- I was felling bad the second I got up. My head hurt, and it was hard to swallow. But I had to suck it up and go to school. I tried to make it through first period, but I couldn't. So Tutu and Gramps picked me up. I went to sleep after some chicken noodle soup. When I woke up, I felt considerably better. I read and played games for a while, then I abandoned my bed and went to the living room. Mom just came home from work, tired as ever but not sick.
We are about to eat some delicious ham. Yum!

Back in Virginia!

Last Thursday, I got on a plane heading to LA. A day later, I got off a plane in Virginia! So now I am finally home! It was great seeing Uncle Rob and Aunt Debbie, but it was even better seeing my mom. I missed her so much. So from the time I went to sleep Friday night to now: This is what happened:
Saturday: I spent most of Saturday having fun with my family. We played, joked around, and had a good time. But we also did some preparation for school Monday. I was nervous, but I didn't want to worry at that moment.
Sunday: We went to church Sunday. I was really tired, so I slept through most of the sermon. After church, all the Duffers went back to our house. It was so much fun. Uncle Rob and I drew some more. It was great.
Monday: Monday was a busy day. It was the first day of school, but I didn't have my TDAP yet. So Uncle Rob, Aunt Debbie and I went to the clinic. It was only a small pinch when I first got it, but it was sore the rest of the day. It got so bad I had to take a Tylenol. After the shot, I had to go to school during lunch time. After having some lunch, I had to go to my afternoon classes. I had nothing on me (since I didn't have a locker yet), so I just sat in the classroom, doing nothing.
Tuesday: I finally got my locker Tuesday. It was a chaotic morning. I was nearly late. Then, I couldn't get my locker open before 2nd block. I had to get a teacher to. I was nearly late to P.E. But I couldn't even participate in it because I didn't have a permission sheet. So I had to go to the Library. The rest of the day went smoothly.
Wednesday:Wednesday was a easy day. School was fine. I spent time with my family. It felt like a very short day.
Thursday: I finally was allowed to go on our P.E trip to the High School. I was really excited, untill I learned that we had to run 4oo meters. My legs are still sore. But the shot put was real fun. After school, mom got sick with a fever. she couldn't go to work, so we spent the night in.
Friday: I had a long day at school, and was very happy to hear the last bell. When we got home, my sweet, strong, and stubborn mom was up and working on my room (I forgot to mention that Keli, for her senior year, wanted to have her own room, so now I share the room with Mark and Tim. It was a mess!). After the room was clean, we all just relaxed the rest of the day. Mom is in bed, feeling really bad. She even looks kind of pale. I am praying that she will feel better.

The Rest Of My Week

Tuesday- We went to the beach, hoping for a swell, but It wasn't as good as we hoped.
Wednesday- Gramps had to go to Honolulu today and tomorrow for surgery on his ear. He left early that morning. Since Gramps wasn't here, we decided it was safe for us to go to Otec really early, so we can get some sun. I had lots of fun, and didn't get too badly sunburned.
Thursday- Today was a town day. We were going to go to the library, then to Safeway, then to a beauty salon to get a haircut. But Gramps got an early flight back, so we had to skip the haircut. We went to Kua bay that late afternoon. The waves were gigantic!
Friday- I finally got my haircut, and it was so cute! I got it in layers, so my hair thinned out. It is so easy to deal with now! We went to Kua Bay again. The waves were bigger than yesterday! Then, nearing sunset, we had to get out of the water, because they spotted a shark! It was so cool and quite freaky.

Saturday, Sunday, and Today

Saturday we went to this evangelism conference with Levi. It was pretty fun, until the last part, which was a bit boring. We then went home and just did our own thing. That night, we got in the hot tub for a while. It was as great as ever. Then it was time for showers, since there was church the next morning. After my shower, I helped Tutu with her Sunday school project and knitted for a while. Oh yeah, I have started knitting! It is super fun. I hope to get good enough to make a scarf.
Sunday was a fun day. I got to help out with the preschoolers. They were so well behaved. After church, we went and ate at Taco Del Mar. Then we went home and relaxed. Later on, we went to Kua Bay. It started raining, and was so beautiful on the water, like a pattern. Plus, the surf was nice sized.
Today has been pretty good. I went to walmart with Tutu, and got a new pair of Knitting needles and Yarn! The yarn is so soft. We plan to go to the beach later on today. I hear there is a swell coming, so fingers crossed for lots of big waves!!!!!!

Camping Trip (2nd version)

Sorry about my other camping trip post. I was tired, and didn't check anything.
Sorry it took so long to blog. Ok, here goes.
The first day of camping was a Sunday, so we headed to some church, where Gramps was to preach. It was really good. Then we sang these old Hymms. Because of that, I had "To God Be The Glory" stuck in my head ever since. After church, we went and ate at a fancy Italian resturant. It was delicous! Then we headed to the cabins. It was really misty and cold when we arrived. Our cabin was pretty big. The second we got in, Tutu and Gramps fell asleep. Bored, Mark and I went for a walk. Since my cut was healed, I could walk in my brand new shoes. They were amazing! After the walk, we played War and Blackjack. Then, once Tutu and Gramps woke up, we went on a real hike. For a while, I thought I was lost for sure. but we found our way back. After dinner, we headed up to the observitory. It was amazing. It was cold. It was AWESOME! Afterwards, we went back to our cabin (with me literally SHIVERING) and had some hot chocolate while playing Uno.
The second day, we headed down Mauna Kea, through Hilo, and up Kilauea, to Volcano National park! All day we explored, seeing the Sulfur Banks, the glow of the Volcano, and countless Craters. One of them was so huge, a hundred football feilds could fit in it! I was impressed. We even visited the Jaggar Mueseum. It was captivating, with all its paintings. Sadly, the best volcano lookout was closed. It was a shame. After all the exploring, we went back to the campsite. We had hot chocolate and Smores.
On Tuesday, we headed up to some forest. We had the entire campsite to ourselves. While we were down by the cabins, we saw a cute little kitten. We tried to feed it, but it didn't eat much. Not much happened the rest of the day, although, at night, I perfected my marshmellow cooking!
We headed home the next day. I loved camping, but it sure felt amazing to be home.

Camping

So tommorrow-Wednesday I will be camping!!! Tutu is not bringing her computer, so I will not be able to blog. But I will fill you in when I get back.
On to today!
I had an OK day. I had to move out of my wonderful room, because some people from New Zealand are coming to stay. I am now moved into Mark's Room. It was a very busy day, FULL of cleaning and packing (for the trip). We were not able to go to the beach today, because we cant get sand in the car. So instead, we are all going to get into the Hot Tub!
I put fertilizer on the Pineapple seeds today. It was easy and quick. I wish I could be here when the Pineapples come out. Tutu's Pineapples are always the sweetest!
Well, I'll blog again on Wednesday! See ya!

Thursday and Friday

Thursday: We did so much stuff Thursday. We started out working around the house. Then around 10-11, Gramps and I went to the Dump, the Library, some store, and Wendy's. I stayed in the car while Gramps went to the store, so I could read some. I got some really good books, like Coraline. It was interesting and sorta scary. The Wendy's was delicious. I love their fries. When we got home, we relaxed for a while, then we all went to Kua Bay. There was supposed to be a swell, but we missed it. So we all worked together to make a magnificent Lighthouse out of sand. Then, soon after dinner, we went to the movies. Tutu and Gramps saw Cowboys vs. Instead, Mark and I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It. Was. Stupid. Just plain stupid. Plus, there was only one big fight scene. It wasn't very interesting. Once I got home I fell asleep quickly, because it was already around 11:00 PM.
Today: Today has been more relaxed. Mark is out earning his 15 dollars by washing the windows. I have finished all my homework, so my afternoons are free. I'm probably going to spend them either helping Mark with his homework or reading. It just feels good, knowing I don't have to do it anymore.
Me and Tutu just finished putting pineapple seed in a pot. It was hard but fun work. Only now I'm COVERED in dirt! We will put Fertilizer on them Tomorrow.

Sun., Mon., Tues., and Today

Sunday: Sunday was a very busy day. We went to church in the morning. I was glad to be back in that church, but nothing is like Seaford Baptist. After church, my friend Sasha came over to my house to play. We got to bake cookies and put on plays. It was so much fun! Once Sasha went home, we went over to Levi's (my other friend) house. While the parents played Mexican Train, Levi, Mark and I played on the Wii.
Monday: We didn't do much on Monday. We visited Otec for a while, but other than that we had a low key day.
Tuesday: We visited Kua Bay Tuesday. It was so much fun, with some nice sized waves. We played Mexican Train that night, and I won!
Today: Today will be the final day of Homework! I just have a bit left on it, and I can do it easily! After that, I will have my afternoons free!!!! We might go to the beach later on tonight.

Yesterday and Today

Yesterday was a shopping day. We all got up and went to Target, Ross, the library, and walmart.
In Ross, I got the sweetest tennis shoes ever! They had lightweight foam, so it feels like nothing on my feet! I wish I could do some jogging in them, but my foot has a nasty cut in it. So it's flip-flops until it heals.
I was so glad to be in the library again. I used to have nothing to read, now I have 3 books!
After a long day, we all got into the hot tub (yes, a hot tub!) and relaxed.

Today is a work day. We are doing chores around the house. I just baked a cake as one of my chores!! It's cooling now, so I have to wait a while.
While the cake baked, me and Tutu started playing a puzzle game. Mostly all we had to do was find stuff. I decided I would rather blog right now. So so far that has been my day!!!

My Plane Trip to Hawaii

I dislike Plane Trips.
My entire family likes them but not me. They are long and boring. I used to be neutral about them, until last year, where I got horribly sick on a plane to Hawaii. Since then, all plane rides remind me of that horrible day. Sadly, the quickest way to get to the best place in the world (Hawaii) is by plane.
Usually, we go from Newport News to Atlanta to Honolulu to Kona, but to save money we went from Newport News to Dallas to LA to Kona. We were flying as Unaccompanied Minors.
The Newport News to Dallas flight wasn't that bad. We were seated in the front seats of Coach, right next to another UM (Unaccompanied Minor). He had a DSI, and so did we, so he and Mark played Mario Kart while I rested for a while.
The layover in Dallas was horrifying. We were put in a UM Lounge for about 3 hours. The Dallas UM Lounge was just a couple of chairs and a TV. It was incredibly boring.
The Dallas to LA flight was fine. I was a little crabby at the beginning, but then I cooled down. Most of the time I just read the Sky Mall Magazine.
There was a layover in LA, but the UM Lounge was so much better. It actually had stuff to do, which was great.
The flight from LA to Kona was great. Before the plane took off, I was feeling kinda sick, but my stomach settled down. We were seated next to a nice guy who used to live in Kona. We talked most of the flight. They were showing Thor, but it was not as good as I hoped it would be.
Finally we arrived in Kona, without me getting sick. I was tired and a mess, but I was glad to be home.

Hooray!

Great News! Because my wonderful mom encouraged me to, I will still continue writing on my blog in Hawaii (where I am now)! So keep an eye out for new posts!

Hawaii

So I have no been blogging for a long time, but I thought it was about time to update.
I'm going to Hawaii! In 4 days I will be on a plane heading to one of the greatest places on earth. I can't wait!
With all the stuff I will be doing there, I don't know if I will be able to blog a lot, but I will try. I will be so busy in Hawaii.
When I come back, school will have already started, so I will need to prepare and do my summer work now.
I can't wait to see those beautiful waves at Kua Bay.

Summertime!

Happy Summer, everybody! Mine so far has been going great! I've been getting outside a lot, staying up, sleeping late, and doing all the things you do during the summer.
It has slowly been getting hotter. Th first few dys were cool, but now its fairly warm. By July it will be misreable!
The only downside to the summer before Middle School is the reading prodject. We have to read a book, then fill out a sheet for it. Usually I would love this type of thing, but the sheet is really hard. I already finished the book, though.
Still, I have a feeling this summer will be great!

5/9-10/11

Yesterday was not a good day. I got sick after school. It was terrible. So I had to stay home today. Luckily, there was NO throw up involved.
Keli got a young Red-Tailed Boa Constrictor today! It is so cool! I got to hold it, and it felt amazing. It's name is Nagini (after Voldemort's snake). I think it's a great name.
I have started writing a book. Me and mom went to Barns & Nobles to find the perfect journal. After many choices, I found a beautiful journal. So far, writing in it has been fun.
The book is about a ghost that must complete certain tasks to be able to leave the earth. I hope to get it published when I am done.
I hope I won't have to make up a lot at school tomorrow.

Mom

Because of the upcoming Mother's Day, I would like to thank my mom. She is truly the greatest person to walk this Earth, besides Jesus. She is always there for me and she will always care for me. I love her so much. She is beautiful, smart, and funny. She always calms me down when I start freaking out about the little things. She calls me beautiful, even when I am not feeling beautiful. She encourages me to try my best. She lifts me up when I am feeling down. Plus, while doing all this, she manages to take care of 3 other children and go to work. All she has done can not be payed off in one day, with a couple of flowers. I wish I could get her flowers every day, treat her like a queen 24/7! But I will try to pay her back for all she has done on this Mother's Day.

I love you mom, and I hope you have a great Mothers Day! You deserve it!

I'm Back, Baby!!

After a LOT of persuadeing from my mom, I have decided to start up the blogging again! So get ready for more stories and stuff from Life of a smart 11 year old!

1/30/11

Sorry I haven't blogged for the past few days. I have been really busy.
Thursday- Thursday was the last day of School before a three day weekend, so it was really fun. At recess, the classes got together and had an awesome Dance-Off. I won!
Friday- There was no school, so I relaxed until 3:00PM. Then I went to a friends house for some help with OM. After that, I went to my basketball game. We won!
Saturday- OM all day. I completed one of the props(finally). When I got home Biscuit and the Gerbils were there!
Today I DID wake up and went to Church. But when I got home I took a long nap. After that we had to return Biscuit. But we kept the Gerbils!
I had a really good weekend.

1/27/11

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. There was a huge downpour.
I was kinda upset this morning because I didn't want to go to school, but now I'm glad I went!
Since it was the last day of the quarter, there wasn't a lot of work and we did fun things. I got to show off my moves at recess, when all three classes got together to have a Dance-Off. I won the second round! I also beat my entire table in Bananagrams mulitble times. It was awesome.
I haven't seen Hope for a while now. I hope he/she is ok.
The weather is getting colder and wetter here. I have to bundle up real thick to go outside. I can't wait for summer.
I think I might keep this design. What do you think?

1/25/11

What a great day.

Today started out with me almost missing the bus. I slept in way too late, but luckily I got out in the nick of time.

We had a DBA in school today. It was really easy. Plus it was a half day, so School was quick.

After School, I spotted Hope again. She's still alive! I hope she will live.

I finished that photo to Chloe. She absolutely loved it!
Well, I got to go to bed, so goodnight!

1/24/2011

What a interesting day.
It started out like any normal Monday, tired as can be. Nothing happened at School, exept for we had a Substitute. He was extremely strict. Also I drew this beautiful picture, which concluded to my new motto, "Old Scars, New Scars" it means we all have old scars in our life, and we WILL get new scars.
Here is the weirdest part of the entire day. While I was eating Cereal, looking at the fish tank, I saw a small orange ball with a trail at the end of it. At first I thought it was just some piece of alge or something, but then it started to dart around like a Fish. Then I realized the trail on it was actually fins! PLUTO, MY FISH, HAD BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fish dissapeared, and I didn't see any more of them, so I concluded that Pluto ate the others and the fish I saw escaped. I have decided to name the little fish Hope, because she/he was the only one who survived.
ALater in the day, I felt like doing some art. So I took out the art supplies I got for Christmas and sat there untill I came up with a brilliant idea. I was going to draw an amazing picture for my BFF, Chloe Powers. It is going to be her name in the middle, surrounded by little doodlings that either signified something about her, or something about our friendship. I better get back to working on it!
P.S I still haven't decided on the perfect look for my blog, so it's going to change a couple of times.

1/23/2011

Today I woke up late again and missed church. I swore to myself that I would go next week.
The rest of the day I was either on the Computer or playing outside.
While on the computer, I found these neat gadgets for my Blog, such as the fish. Then I found http://http://buzz.blogger.com/2010/06/blogger-template-designer-now-available.html and gave my Blog a WHOLE new look!
My Mom was the one who inspired me to start Blogging. She has a really nice Blog. Her Blog is on the side, under My Favorite Links. Check it out!

Sorry I have not writtin in a long time. Been REALLY busy!
Over the past couple weeks I have been sick with a bad cold. I would feel better, then worse. Right now I feel worse.
Today was OM's first 9AM to 5PM practice. It was tiring. We worked on our set all day. After OM I went home and just rested. It felt good, seeing that I have not slept properly for the past week.
For anyone who is thinking of watching A Haunting in Conneticuit, DO NOT. It is the scariest movie I have ever seen. I would lay awake half the night, scared that something scary was watching me.
So, it was a good but tiring day.
